“Castle” is an indie rock band with electronic nuances. Involving members from Portland, Oregon’s “Leander,” “Jon Garcia,” and the UK’s “Robot’s in Disguise.” and ”Six Foot Flames.” This band is a six piece, utilizing lush and sometimes twangy percussive guitar work, ambient keyboard, and hone a progressive driving rhythm section. Comparisons to Yo la Tengo, Stereolab, and Band of Horses are frequent and a good starting point of what to expect sonically from this young band. This Portland group is already starting to pack Oregon venues and they have only played a handful of shows to date. Expect to be hearing more about them in the near future as they finish their premiere ep.
